Ainda o CFA Challenge - o reconhecimento da Cass :)

"Cass Students Win Second Place in National Finals

Five MSc students claim runners-up spot in Global Investment Research Challenge.
Five MSc students have won second place in the prestigious UK final of the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Global Investment Research Challenge.

All entrants were required to write and present a financial analysis of National Express. The aim of the annual competition is to provide an ‘educational initiative aimed at teaching best and ethical practices in equity research to the next generation of investment professionals.’ The Cass team was mentored by Cass alumnus Marc Schartz an Investment Manager at Governance for Owners.

It is the first time that Cass has entered the competition and the five students involved Richard Savage (MSc Mathematical Trading and Finance (team leader)), Ola Vilnes (MSc Investment Management), Diana Gomes (MSc Finance), Mark Gunalan (MSc Finance), Sascha Hilber (MSc Finance) fought off competition from other leading business school to meet Imperial College in the national final.

To qualify for the final the team had to write an analysis of the company and compile a research report which was reviewed and scored by a panel of judges. The team presented their findings to a panel of high profile experts who then judged who would progress to the European final to be held in Madrid in March.

The judging was very close between the two finalists with Cass Business School narrowly missing out to Imperial College for the place in Madrid."
